Round 2 of TD Chelation
We did transdermal DMSA again over the weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun - applied every 8 hours). I'm a bit tired from the midnight applications, but other than that nothing bad to report. Matthew is no longer afraid of the gloves and tolerates the creams. He does seem to be more verbal and is putting little sentences together. Now we have our 11 days "off".

Hi Cyndi! Thanks for the update - I have been curious. So glad there seem to be no negative effects - only positive!
I'd love to hear how it is going. I'm very curius to see how Matthew will do with the chelation. I hope great. email me if you have the time... Melissa
I love to hear about the progress and the positive steps. Matthew sounds like he is responding really well to the treatment. And of course he's still extremely handsome. :)
"Autism is a neurological disorder that often interferes with a person's ability to communicate with and relate to others. Signs of autism almost always develop before a child is 3 years old. Typically, parents first become concerned when they notice that their toddler does not begin to talk or does not respond and interact like other children. Autism also affects how a child perceives and processes sensory information. The severity of autism varies. Some individuals need assistance in almost all aspects of their daily lives, while others are able to function at a very high level and can even attend school in a regular classroom. While this is a lifelong condition, early diagnosis and treatment can make a major difference."

Sounds like everything is going great! Great job, Mommy!
Good luck with that. I really hope his speech improves. W has single words and they are not always clear, so I understand how frustrating it can be.
What kind of progress have you seen? Any yet? We will be starting another couple rounds of oral chelation soon...
Best wishes...hugs from one warrior mom to another!!!!
